Apparently, The Future Is Now. This Brand-New Flying Car Is Awesome.

Image
Thanks to Slovakian engineer Å tefan Klein, the future is  finally  here. While he has yet to do anything regarding the popularity of color-changing baseball caps, he has helped make flying cars a thing. With the Aeromobil 2.5, you can get anywhere you'd like to go by either land or sky. You won't see this bad boy out on the road or up in the clouds any time soon, but you can grab a sneak peek of it in action below. It's really an amazing achievement. Take a look!   The Aeromobil 2.5 Not bad. Not bad at all. Can you see yourself in one of these? I know I can, even if there isn't much room in the back for the kids. What a shame it will be to travel the country without them.  Watch the video below to see the Aeromobil 2.5 in action. (via  designboom ) That's truly awesome. It doesn't look much like the Jetson's flying car, but I think I'm okay with that. No offense, George.

When This Kid Got Into Trouble, He Hid From His Mother In The Most Unusual Place.

A boy in Yibin, Sichuan Province, China went to extreme lengths earlier this week to avoid having to do his homework and getting a tongue-lashing from his mother. Doctor With Terminal Cancer Sends A Touching Goodbye To His Patients.

Image
After 35 years of serving his patients, this doctor had no choice but to call it quits. No, it wasn’t a sailboat or golf course that beckoned him away from his duty, but cancer. This doctor knew he or she wouldn't be able to recover... so they penned this letter and sent it out to all patients. It’s a touching note and a reminder that the doctors who help us are people who have their own issues to deal with too.  "My profound sadness is only increased by the fact that I will miss attending to my patients."  You might need some tissues for this... (via  Imgur ) "As my own time comes to an end, I want to thank you." Wow. What a heartbreaking, but truly touching letter. Hopefully this doctor is lucky enough to be under the care of a doctor that’s half as passionate about what they do as they are.

These 21 Inventions Seem Crazy, But Are Actually Crazy Smart.

Image
It's hard to say what goes on in the mind of inventors. Benjamin Franklin created a lot of important items we still use today, but everyone knows that guy was a bit of an oddball. I mean, he wanted our national bird to be the turkey (which isn't particularly inspiring). But that quirky mindset is what makes these innovative thinkers so good at what they do and keep our world constantly evolving. Which is why you might think these inventions are a little strange at first, but soon you'll see they're actually pretty genius. 1.) Cardboard Bicycle Jonathan Kettleborough 2.) You Probably Thought You Knew These Celebrities, But You Had NO Idea.

Image
We forget that whenever a baby is born to a parent  NOT  with the last name Kardashian, they start at the same level of celebrity as everyone else. Most often, these babies grow up and experience childhood the same way that you and I do. They're aren't famous (yet). But for all of our equal footing, we know that one day these future starlets and geniuses will become famous and leave us in the dust. And that's why coming across pictures from their hidden pasts is all the more tantalizingly amazing to see. "They were just like us!" 1.) Stephen Hawking 2.) Bill and Hillary Clinton 3.) Col. Sanders and Alice Cooper 4.) Albert Einstein 5.) Alex Trebek 6.) (Young) Joseph Stalin 7.) Mr. Rogers. 8.) Winston Churchill 9.) Eminem 10.) The Manson Family 11.) Michael Jordan 12.) amazing animal astronauts

Image
We've all heard stories of animal heroes, but what about animals that were true  pioneers ? Did you know that the first astronauts were actually cuddly little animals? It's true! Scientists were afraid of the effects of space travel would be hazardous to humans, so they sent animals up instead. Here are some of the brave animals who made giant leaps for humankind. Unfortunately, the majority of the animals sent into space didn't have a safe journey back home. RIP brave animal astronauts! This weird obsession with lobbing animals at the sky started in 1783 when the Montgolfier Brothers invented the hot air balloon. lauriesharp Instead of putting a convicted criminal in the balloon during its first public test flight like the king wanted, the brothers instead gathered a ragtag team of a sheep, a duck and a rooster. The animals never left the Earth's atmosphere, but man was it adorable. The first living creatures to actually enter outer space were ...
